‘Independence Day Celebration’

DAV Public School, Paschim Enclave, rendered a salute to the nation in the special assembly organized to celebrate the Independence Day. Students expressed their love for the country by participating with zest and zeal in the cultural programmes organized exclusively for the day. The celebrations commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony. The tunes of Jana… gana… mana… echoed in the vicinity as the Principal of the school, Ms. Manju Malik unfurled the national tricolor. Ms. Manju Malik congratulated the students and the teachers on the occasion of the national celebration and motivated the students to work with dedication and devotion to upgrade the reputation of the nation.

The Prime Minister of the Student Parliament, Master Ankit Dabas shared his patriotic feelings in an inspirational speech, giving the message that Independence Day holds far more importance than merely being a national holiday. The day also witnessed a special presentation in the form of a street play by the students on the social evil of Child Labour. The play was appreciated by one and all present, emphasizing the need to uplift these underprivileged children and to work for their betterment in every possible manner. The colorful cultural performances added a spice to the celebrations.
