DAV Centenary Public School, Paschim Enclave rendered 68th salute to the nation in a Special Assembly organized on the occasion of Independence Day Celebrations. The day saw excitement and jingoistic fervour all around with students participating whole heartedly to make the festivities unforgettable.The celebrations commenced with Mrs. Manju Malik, the Principal of the school, hoisting the National Tricolor. The Principal of the school encouraged the students to be good human beings and responsible citizens devoting their lives to the service of the Nation and mankind. Students paid a tribute to the National Heros who sacrificed their lives for the Nation’s pride and honour. The melodious tune of –‘Hum Sab BhartiyaHain’ echoed all around, as the school choirpresented the composition with panache. The foot tapping patriotic songs played by the school orchestra,set the jingoistic zest ablaze.The day also saw multifarious activities organized in the school like kite flying competition,poster making competition, wrist band making competition etc. to give a vent to students’creativity sensitizing them about the true meaning of Independence.

Justifying John F. Kennedy’s words, "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country”, the school initiated to imbibe the feelings of patriotism into the hearts of the learners by celebrating Idyllic Independence Day in its school premises. 
The entire school was bedecked with tricolor ribbons and festooned kites to signify the spirit of patriotism. A mélange of events like garnishing tricolor badges, scribbling slogans, display décor as well as thumb printing on the national flag were panelized to infuse the feeling of nationalism among the students. A special assembly embellished with scintillating skits splashing the colours of diverse culture of India by the junior brigade , chanting jingoistic songs and tapping on the tunes of popular patriotic numbers spread the savour of freedom all around. ‘Quizzical’ Challenge for the learners added fluff to the patriotic fervour.  
The entire premises echoed with the following charismatic hymns all through the day.
