‘BOOK WEEK’

"The real purpose of a book is to trap the mind into doing its own thinking."

DAV Centenary Public School, Paschim Enclave, organized a Book week from May 01 - May 05, 2017, to highlight the importance and value of books in our life. On this occasion, a special Book Fair was organized in the school sponsored by Scholastic Publishing House. The book fair turned out to be highly successful endeavour with the students and teachers enjoying the company of books, thereby enhancing their knowledge. The week also saw students participating enthusiastically in various activities. The students of Classes V and VI participated in Book-mark Making Competition, students of Classes VII participated in Collage making Competition, the students of Class VIII participated in Cover Page Designing Competition, while the students of Class IX penned down the Bio-sketches of their favourite English and Hindi authors and poets. The whole venture aimed at enhancing students' knowledge and instilling the love for reading. The enthusiastic participation of the students and teachers made the event successful.
