‘CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME (MATHEMATICS) CLUSTER-II’

DAV Centenary Public School, Paschim Enclave organized a Capacity Building Workshop for Mathematics teachers of West Delhi cluster – II from 28th – 30th June, 2017 under the aegis of DAVCMC.  The event witnessed the presence of around 100 teachers from different schools of DAV, participating enthusiastically in the teaching – learning process and sharing their modern and novel ideas with each other. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Anju V Narula and Mr. Anuj Manchanda for the Secondary Group (IX – X), Ms. Sonia Malik, Ms. Shalini and Ms. Jyotsana for the Middle Group (VI – VIII) and Ms. Hema Kapoor and Ms. Daya Gupta for the Primary Group (III – V), the Master Trainers selected by DAVCMC. The 3 day workshop provided an opportunity to all the participating teachers to discuss the changes in curriculum, followed by a comprehensive and exhaustive dialogue, critically analyzing and suggesting measures for improvement. The highlight of the workshop was the worksheets created by the teachers for gifted learners, providing challenging material to hone their mathematical skills, along with creation and detailed discussion of sample paper. Teachers were acquainted with designing of creative and innovative questions for the Question Bank to enhance their teaching ability, thereby making the subject interesting for the learners.

The workshop was indeed an enlightening experience with the active and enthusiastic participation from one and all present. The sessions proved to be interactive with the teachers performing all the activities with sincerity and dedication. The workshop provided an opportunity to the teachers to do Hands On activities with the teachers gaining insight and expanding their knowledge.
