‘LIFE SKILL WORKSHOP - EMERGENCY FIRST AID MEASURES’
First aid skills not only give children the ability to save a life, but can also help boost their confidence, self -esteem, teamwork and communication skills.
So, with a view to develop this incredible and valuable Life skill among the students,an informative workshop was organized in the junior wing of DAV Centenary Public School, Paschim Enclave. The workshop focused on the basics of first aid so that the children can quickly pick up the essentials and deliver key messages with confidence. Students then progressed towards learning about a wider range of simple incidents, such as how to deal with burns and nose bleeds. A good starting point was the lesson about staying safe. It focused on identifying and avoiding danger – perfect for children aged around eight and nine.
With this lesson about real life emergencies, the pupils understood the scenarios they might find themselves in where they should ask for help from an adult. All in all it was an educative session for the students.
