‘Independence Day - 2017’

The 71^st Independence Day of our beloved nation was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in the Tri-coloured bedecked lawns of the junior wing of DAV Centenary Public School, Paschim Enclave. The programme kick started with the traditional flag hoisting ceremony, followed by a series of energising and enthralling performances by the students. Melodious songs and rhymes by the tiny tots of pre-school and pre-primary, enlightening speech about our journey to independence, a melodious patriotic song by the school choir and a fusion dance performance by the students filled every heart and soul with a true spirit of patriotism. Apart from these enchanting performances, the students also enjoyed an assortment of fun filled activities such as Tri- colour hat making, badge making, desktop flag decoration etc. The program concluded on a promising note as the young brigade took a pledge to make sincere and committed efforts towards the progress of our motherland and be the harbingers of India’s rich culture and heritage in the big wide world outside.
