Remembering Gandhi…..

Clad in white kurta pyjamas, the tiny tots of the school paid their heart rendering tribute to the father of the nation on September 30, 2014. A special assembly was organized in the school premises to ascertain in the young minds that ‘Bapu Abhi Zinda hai….’

Recitation of favourite bhajans of Gandhiji by the school choir group mesmerized the audience. The students of primary classes chanted poems in praise of such an eminent leader. A sensational skit depicting the value systems of Mahatma Gandhi and his favourite three monkeys served the dual purpose of erudition and enchantment.

In today’s modern world, wherein beliefs and ethics have taken a back seat, it has become all the more imperative to remember freedom fighters like Bapu who dared to offer themselves as a sacrifice for the good of others.

On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's 70th birthday, Albert Einstein opined,

 "Generations to come, it may well be, will scarce believe that such a man as this one ever in flesh and blood walked upon this Earth.”
