DAV ‘United’ –Rendezvous Revered
An aura of nostalgia and reminiscences spread over the day as DAV Centenary Public School, Paschim Enclave hosted its 4th Alumni Reunion Revels in association with ‘DAV United ’ on its plush premises on Sunday, 7th December 2014.
With a beaming tilak on their forehead and fond memories of their bygone days, around 400 alumni walked in decked up as divas and dudes. The esteemed guests of honourwho aggrandizedthe event included Chairman of the school, Mr. Ravinder Kumar & Mrs. Kumar, Manager of the school, Ms. S. Chandla, an eminent Hindi writer Dr R.K. Malik as well as esteemed teachers who had put their life and soul into it since its inception and gracefully retreated. Mr. Manoj Mittal, CEO as well as Founder, DAV United also graced the occasion.
The Meet commenced with a warm welcome address by Principal Manju Malik. She expressed her heart felt gratitude towards all the ‘ladies and gentlemen’ who made the event an extraordinary one with their precious presence. She struck their caressing chordsso as to remind them that they owe their service to their Alma Mater.
A ravishing cultural program comprising of dance performances by their laudable teachers left the former students spellbound. Scores of multifarious activities added spice to the timeless ties. A sumptuous cake symbolizing togetherness was also cut by the crew comprising of members of the staff who have been rendering their stable service to the institute since 25 years.
The conclave took all the revered guests ‘down the memory lane’ and reminiscences of their sweet memoirs flashed upon their minds. They were mesmerized by the scintillating performances of their fellow alumni. Lip- smacking food seasoned the entire feat. In his valedictory speech, Mr. Manoj Mittal felt short of words in appreciating the spectacular affair. It reminded everyone the last lines of ‘The Solitary Reaper’ by William Wordsworth,
“The Music in my heart I bore
Long after it was heard no more.
