DAVPE is glad to share that a Blood Donation camp was organised in the school premises on October 29, 2022 under the aegis of Rotary Club of Delhi Janak and the guidance of madam Principal Ms. Sonia Malik. It was a joint venture of Team Code Blue (Medical team of the school) and Ray of Hope-Interact Club (Rotary) in continuation of their human endeavour and to bring about health awareness to the masses. Dr. Anshu Asri, Medical Officer of the school and Dr. Parul Goyal, teacher in charge, Interact Club motivated and guided the students.

 

The camp received an overwhelming response as a large gamut of parents and donors availed the opportunity and contributed for the noble cause. The camp was held from 9 am to 1 pm on the PTM day. This ingenious attempt made by the enterprising Interactors and student volunteers was appreciated by the manager of the school, Ms. Chitra Nakra and the president of the Rotary club, Rotarian Raju Agarwal. Audience were enthralled by the *spell bound jingle and Nukkad Natak* prepared by Music, Hindi & English departments A *Blood Donation Awareness Rally* was organised on October 28 2022. The young medico warriors carried *colourful placards and vociferated slogans - ‘Raktdaan Mahadaan’* to cultivate a sense of duty among the masses towards the humanity and society. While encouraging people to come forward for this noble cause of blood donation which was the main idea behind the campaign, the students advocated various benefits and broke myths related to blood donation.

 

Students realized and understood the Samaritan thought that *of all the charity, the donation of blood is the most sacred as it brings life to someone.*  If you are a blood donor you are a hero to someone somewhere who received your gracious gift of life. Blood donation is one of the most significant contributions that a person can make towards saving human lives.
