Dayanand Saraswati Jayanti
Remembering Swami Dayanand Saraswati
Being a part of DAV (Dayanand Anglo Vedic) institution, the school ensures that the kids are made aware of the ideals of ancient Vedic heritage of India.
On February 24, 2015, the students of the nursery wing celebrated Swami Dayanand Saraswati Jayanti.
The little ones looked none less than saints when turned up in crimson attires. Their joy knew no bounds when their foreheads were adorned with radiant tilak , crimson roli was festooned on their wrists and holy patka on their shoulders. They consummated auspicious yajna and recited pious mantras. Their class facilitators elucidated the omnipresence of God and the connotation of the word ‘OM’ in Hindu mythology. They learnt the belief that God resides in their hearts.
Short stories from the life of Swami Dayanand Saraswati were also narrated to the petite. A pinch of taste was sprayed on the entire ceremony by offering plush prasad. At the onset, the little DAVians believed in the following words of the master.
‘You cannot believe in God until you believe in yourself.’ – Swami Dayanand Saraswati
