Terrorism

TERRORISM

A peaceful day in a city begins with all the hush and bush of the people all around the market places and their daily schedules, but suddenly the serenity of the place is blown to pieces with a series of bomb explosions in the most crowded areas. There is blood and flesh all around, people crying helplessly, children weeping while their eyes looking for their parents and the city is turned into a graveyard. Such is the scenario when the terrorists attack in a city. All the common and innocent people become the victims of their ugly and selfish plans.
Recently there were serial bomb blasts in Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Surat, which spread a wave of terror throughout the country. The civil hospital of Ahmedabad was attacked where a newly married couple of doctors were killed while serving the patients. They had a twinkle in their eyes but their eyes were closed forever. There was a great loss of life throughout the country.
Terrorists have their own selfish ideals for which they target the youth of the country, misguide them and use their young blood against their own nation. The neighbouring countries like Pakistan are training the youth of our country in the name of religion and using them in their terrorist attacks all over the country.
For India, it seems that the war against terrorism has been going on forever. The nation is so fraught by the whole affair that the India of peaceful times now only appears as a comforting chapter in the pages of ancient history. India’s problem began way back in 1980’s with the insurgencies and cross-border terrorism finding its way to Kashmir. It has always been a bone of contention. Not only has the terrorists’ activities grown over there, the nature of attacks have led to a greater fear gripping the people who are left with no other option but to lie waiting for the next horror to unfold.
Not only India but other mighty countries like USA have also faced the havoc brought about by the monster named terrorism. On Sept.11, 2001, the nerve centre of the super power was struck which had sent a shock wave through the rest of the world.  It is the time for all the countries of the world to unite and take a concrete action against the menace to humankind.
Being citizens of India, it is our moral duty to contribute towards the safety of our country. Many of the terrorist attacks can be averted if we are vigilant enough to keep a watch on our surroundings. Children can also act as little soldiers of India by informing the police about any suspicious unidentified thing lying around them. If they see any person whose activities are suspicious, they should inform the police. Let us all wave a fight against terrorism and drive this monster away from our country forever and make it the safest place to live in.
