DAV Paschim Enclave supports ‘ Swachh Bharat SwachhVidyalaya Campaign’
Under the guidelines of CBSE, DAV Paschim Enclave organised an extensive Swachh Bharat SwachhVidyalaya Campaign. All the students and the teachers of the school actively participated in the campaign. Under this campaign special assemblies were organised in the school where in the teachers and the students shared their views on- how to make our city a better place by understanding cleanliness from the vision and perspective of Mahatma Gandhi. ShramDaan and Community service programs were also organised in the school. Students and the teachers of the school organised a special Cleanliness Drive in the slum area near the school. Students conducted a survey to know about the present sanitation conditions in the area. A team of students lead by the Medical Officer and the teachers of the school spread awareness among the slum dwellers on how to maintain good hygiene. Students distributed informative pamphlets to the masses and also performed a nukkadnatak to convey the message- ‘Cleanliness is next to godliness’. A team from the school took the noble initiative of cleaning the slum area there by encouraging all to take up the task.Under this campaign special workshops were also organised in the school to provide knowledge to the students about waste management, creating best out of waste, green energy, energy conservation and how to maintain personal and environmental hygiene. The school has been actively participating in the community service programs and awareness campaigns providing a platform to the students to learn to be responsible and good citizens.
