HEALTH FIRST CAMPAIGN ORGANISED BY DAV, PASCHIM ENCLAVE With the noble aim of advocating the message – ‘Health is Wealth’ and to make the students aware of the hazards of junk food consumption, a special Campaign was organised by Dav Centenary Public School, Paschim Enclave. The Campaign aimed at inspiring the students to adopt healthy lifestyle, encouraging them to say a firm ‘ No’ to the food that is low on nutritional value. To spread the message, far and wide, a rally was organised which saw active participation by the students and the teachers of the school. Students vociferated slogans in and around the school vicinity, voicing their concern. Colourful and informative pamphlets were prepared by the health club of the school ,aiming at making people aware about the health issues and the ways to deal with them. During the rally these pamphlets were distributed to the passersby , convincing them that health should be our prime priority so no ailment should be ignored as ‘Prevention is better than Cure’. A special assembly was also organised on the day where in the students performed a skit highlighting the message that the one who is healthy is the richest. The Principal of the school, Ms. Manju Malik enlightened the students to have healthy eating habits highlighting the fact that a sound and intelligent mind resides in a healthy body. The Medical Officer of the school, Dr. Anshu Asri guided the students in a special workshop, on how to maintain good health and hygiene, acquainting the students with the theme of the year- ‘From Farm to Plate, Let’s Make the Food Safe’. All the myths and the doubts related to health were discussed in the workshop which lead to better understanding of the facts. The school has been actively working to spread awareness regarding – ‘Health first’, leaving no stone unturned to make the students, healthy and wise citizens.
