The following stages of action against misconduct by students will be undertaken depending on the degree and frequency of the offence. Generally the progression will be from one stage to another; however, on account of very serious or gross misconduct, direct application of stage 2 or 3 may be undertaken. Detention from class for sometime, half day or full day may be undertaken.
STAGE 1: Intimation
of misconduct to the parents
On preliminary observation of misconduct by the
teachers, the matter will be reported to the floor
in-charge from time to time. He/she will keep
detailed record of the child’s misconduct.
These incidents or matters will be reported to the
class teacher. Depending on the gravity of the matter,
he/she may send a Warning White Card to the parents.
The parents may be called immediately or on the
day of next PTM. These preliminary warnings, if
not heeded, and no corrective measures are taken,
may lead to the reporting of matter to the Principal
and issue of a Yellow card. The child may also be
detained from the class room for a full or half
day.
STAGE
2: ISSUE OF YELLOW CARD
A yellow card denotes two
very serious reminders or warnings for gross
misconduct followed by conditional grant of
pardon. The child may be detained for a day.
If the misbehaviour is not corrected, it may
lead to direct suspension from school, with
immediate effect.
Yellow Card - First Warning
STAGE
3: ISSUE OF RED CARD OR SUSPENSION
On recurrence of erratic
misconduct even after repeated warnings through
the Yellow Card, Thestudent will be suspended
from the school. Disciplinary action against
the student will follow. In case of outrageous
misconduct and suspension twice from school,
the student who will be seen misfit for the
school environment, may be required to be
withdrawn from the school.
