‘ ICT Workshop for Mathematics Teachers’

With an aim of empowering the creative abilities of the teachers and bring qualitative changes in the teaching - learning processes, DAV Centenary Public School, Paschim Enclave, organized a workshop for the Mathematics teachers on 30th March, 2017.

The workshop aimed at supplementing the traditional way of teaching with the latest technology to make the classrooms more interactive student-friendly and informative. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Himanshu, Resource person from CLASSTEACHER.COM. The workshop focused on various ways of integrating ICT technology with Mathematics.  The effective and efficient usage of various tools like screen grab, screen postil, curtain etc. was discussed and demonstrated to make the teachers tech – savvy.

Teachers were acquainted with the usage of different types of digital pens, drawing of 2-D and 3-D figures on the interactive board etc. to make their work less cumbersome and effective. The teachers were also emboldened about the use of digital library and inspired to upload all the videos, power point presentations on the server to improve their teaching methodology.

The discussion session was followed by a practice session which saw all the teachers trying their hand at using the features discussed for better understanding. The workshop proved to be highly productive with the teachers gaining insight and expanding their knowledge.
