‘Anti-Tobacco Campaign’
To assist the government in ‘One for one’ campaign, DAV Centenary Public school, Paschim Enclave organised an anti-tobacco campaign on 20th of July, 2018 wherein the students took part in the activities conducted inside as well as outside the school premises. A rally was flagged off by the honorable Principal Ms.Maju Malik and conducted by students with the assistance of Ms. Divya Chawla, the school counselor, where they held huge placards with slogans like Put it out before it puts you out, Let’s love the living and quit smoking written on them . The atmosphere of the neighbourhood was filled with the resounding sound of their shouts of slogans.
As an extension to it, morning assembly was conducted by the students of Class VII-A with the guidance of their class teacher, Ms. Parul Goel, on the theme “Harmful effects of Tobacco” on 23rd July, 2018. The health risks associated with the consumption of tobacco were highlighted by compendious speech and intense discussion along with the exhibition of the posters with slogans. The students also took a pledge to stay away from tobacco products forever.
This campaign helped in sensitizing and motivating the students against the ill effects of tobacco.
