The great Indian festival of Diwali, was celebrated with full fervor and zest at DAV Centenary Public School, Paschim Enclave. The school was tastefully bedecked with colourful rangolis and earthern lamps for the occasion. In keeping with the Hindu tradition of offering prayers to Lord Ganesha ,the special assembly held in the sprawling lawns, opened with a mesmerizing dance performance by the students – Ganesh Vandana. The students of Pre School and Pre Primary stole the show with the ballet ‘Ramkatha – Sri Rama ki Jeevan Gaatha’. A melodious group song by the school choir left everyone spellbound.  The major highlight of the celebrations was the ‘Say No to Crackers’ rally in the close vicinity. The young brigade marched proudly, holding thought provoking banners and shouting slogans , to encourage the on- lookers to have an Eco- Friendly Diwali. The celebration ended on a happy note and a hope that yet another time may this festival of lights dispel darkness from every heart and soul and usher in the light of goodness and harmony.
