JOINING HANDS FOR A NOBLE CAUSE.......... Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha and DAV College Managing Committee is organising a Blood Donation Drive from Nov1 to Nov 11, 2014 in all its DAV Institutes. The camp in DAV Paschim Enclave was organised on Nov 1, 2014. School campus witnessed oodles of enthusiasm and gusto as the students, their parents and the staff members of the school actively participated in theCamp . The camp was inaugurated by ShriRavinderkumarji, Chairman of the school and Mrs S.P Chandla , Manager of the school. Right from 8 in the morning to late noon, long queues of potential donors could be seen in the junior wing of the school where the team from Red Cross Society of India conducted a medical check-up of each donor before giving the final nod for blood donation. With more than 250 potential donors turning up and around 85 units of blood donated in a few hours, the camp turned out to be a successful endeavour. The campaigning for this earnest endeavour began days before the camp.Students and the teachers under the guidance of Mrs. Manju Malik, Principal of the school and Dr. Anshu Asri, Medical Officer of the school, actively participated in the special rally organised by the school to spread awareness among the masses about the usefulness of donating blood,removing all the myths related to blood donation . Students vociferated slogans and distributed informative pamphlets to the passers- by, encouraging them to come forward for the noble mission.ShriRavinderkumarji, Chairman of the school and Mrs S.P Chandla , Manager of the school applauded the efforts of Mrs Manju Malik, Principal of the school to make the camp a successful venture.
