‘Constitution Day Celebrations’

An array of activities was organized by DAV Centenary Public School, Paschim Enclave, New Delhi to mark November 26, 2016 as “Constitution Day”. To pay tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the Architect of the Indian Constitution, a group of students administered the pledge by reciting the Preamble of the Constitution. A PowerPoint Presentation educating the students about this largest Constitution of the world was played in all the classes through the Smart Boards. Class Vth students pasted the pictures of Eminent leaders who framed our Constitution. Students of class VIth and VIIIth exhibited their knowledge of Indian Constitution through Worksheets. Students of class VIIth presented Collage on the goals mentioned in the Preamble.

A Poster Designing Competition was organized for class IXth depicting message of the Preamble. Students successfully presented the principles of Liberty, Equality, Justice, Fraternity. Class Xth students beautifully designed the Cover Page of the Indian Constitution. A Quiz based on Constitution was also organized for two categories: Classes VIth- VIIIth and IXth to XIIth. The students were acquainted with the Fundamental Duties to make them realise their responsibilities towards the nation. Students participated in all these activities enthusiastically and made the event successful.
