‘Children's Day Celebration’
"Every child is a different kind of a flower with its own unique fragrance and together they make a beautiful garden".
DAV Centenary Public School, Paschim Enclave celebrated Children’s Day with a great zest and zeal. The learners got an informative insight into the life of our first Prime Minister, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, through a short speech. As a tribute to his immense love and affection for the children, the school choir sang a melodious song celebrating childhood. The program concluded on a promising not wherein the teachers acknowledged that the best way to bring up children is to give them the roots of responsibility and the wings of freedom. As the school aims at shaping up the personality of its students in such a way that they contribute to the overall wellbeing of the society by inculcating in them good moral values. So, to encourage the students to make charity, the school had initiated ‘The Happy Selfie’ project wherein the students had to click a photograph of theirs while they make a donation. To promote this noble virtue, the supervisory Head of the junior wing, Ms. Usha Gupta, presented small tokens of motivation to these benevolent benefactors. All in all it was a wonderful program.
