World Youth Skills Day 2023 celebration at DAVCPS Paschim Enclave with the theme — "Skilling teachers, trainers and youth for a transformative future'
An online session has been conducted on July 15, 2023 on the topic Financial Literacy for our school teachers under the mentorship of Respected Madam Principal Ms. Sonia Malik.
 

The session was aligned with transformative program, "Passport to Earning" (P2E), in collaboration with UNICEF. This platform has been specifically designed to equip our young learners and ATL Teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare them for the future. Session was conducted by Dr. Himani Kohli (ATL Inchargel) and Mr. Gaurav Palia (PGT Commerce).
 

Topics discussed were:-

1. Need v/s Wants

2. How to plan your future

3. Retirement Plans

4. Different Saving Schemes

5. Emergency Plans

6. Old Tax Slabs v/s New Tax Slabs

7. OTP Frauds
 

The session was planned for around 01 hour but the active participation of all the teachers made it for 90 minutes around. Many teachers shared their personal experiences about Insurance Claims at the times of need and situations when they were lured in to OTP frauds.
 

Respected Principal Ma’am ended the session with the words that it was kind of Experiential Learning, as we all were learning from the real life experiences of others.
