End hunger and ensure access by all people, in particular the poor and people in vulnerable situations, including infants, to safe, nutritious and sufficient food all year round.
 

*World Food Day* is observed every year on October 16 to promote understanding of healthy diets and nutritional needs. World Food day is not only about celebrating the amazing food that people have as per their likings and tastes but it is also about raising awareness for people who do not have such privilege.
 

The students of *DAVCPS, Paschim Enclave under the able mentorship of Madam Sonia Malik, the principal of the school, celebrated this special day by giving food to people who need it the most by contributing towards *”Roti Bank”*. The students of grade 3 visited the Roti bank and contributed towards a noble deed by donating food to the needy ones who cannot afford even a single meal, aiming towards Zero Hunger.
 

Furthermore, the students were motivated to eat nutritious food and stop food wastage through sensitisation drive performed by the class teachers. The topping on the cake was when the tiny tots were encouraged to make and eat “ *Healthy Food Lollipop* ” using variety of seasonal fruits. 
 

The main aim of this day was to make the students responsible citizens of the future by inculcating in them a sense of responsibility to contribute towards the society by taking up small steps like reducing the food wastage by feeding the birds or animals with their leftover tiffin food.
