The collaboration between DAV Centenary Public School, Paschim Enclave and Goonj under the able mentorship of Madam Sonia Malik, The School Principal, yielded remarkable results. The woollen clothes collection drive organised by the school received an overwhelming response, with the collection of 20 cartons of clothing items. The immense support and generosity demonstrated by the parents played a pivotal role in the success of the initiative.
Post the collection drive, the students of grade V visited the Head Office of Goonj to hand over the collected contributions, symbolizing their support for the organization's initiative. Moreover, these students got the opportunity to witness the operations at Goonj and understand the process of sorting and transforming donated clothes into kits and essential items for the needy. Witnessing the real mechanism behind Goonj's operations left a profound impression on the students, enhancing their understanding of social responsibility and the importance of humanitarian efforts.
The students enthusiastic participation and contribution reflect their commitment to making a positive difference in the society, reinforcing the importance of empathy and compassion.
