Capacity Building Programme Senior Secondary 2025–26: Envision, Empower, Elevate — Redefining Pedagogy Through Mathematical Intuition and Technological Precision DAV Centenary Public School, Paschim Enclave, successfully hosted two day Capacity Building Programmes (CBPs) for Senior Secondary Mathematics Teachers as part of the 2025–26 academic session organized by DAV Centre for Academic Excellence (DAVCAE) on 5 July & 19 July 2025. Around 70 Mathematics teachers from Clusters 1, 2, and 5 attended the sessions.
The sessions aimed to empower educators with innovative pedagogical tools, competency-based strategies, and digital integration techniques in line with CBSE and NEP 2020. On 5th July 2025, Session I by Ms. Varuna Raj Anand focused on integrating technology in teaching using tools like GeoGebra, Microsoft Math Solver, Quizalize, PhET Simulations, and Wolfram Problem Generator. Through hands-on activities, teachers explored applications in topics such as coordinate geometry, trigonometric functions, probability, and linear inequalities. A creative ice -breaking activity linked mathematical concepts with personal traits to spark reflective thinking.
Session II by Ms. Monika Arora emphasized designing competency-based and Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTs) questions. Teachers analysed CBSE question patterns and collaboratively developed chapter-wise HOTs and competency - driven questions to enhance conceptual clarity.
On 19th July 2025, Session I was led by Ms. Sweeta Malhotra which highlighted the use of formative assessments in Class XI, especially for reintroduced topics. Practical strategies for classroom-based assessment and peer-sharing enriched the dialogue.
Session II with Ms. Sumita Kathuria focused on addressing student errors and supporting low achievers through the development of Minimum Learning Level (MLL) worksheets. It was a hands-on working session where educators refined chapter-wise resources collaboratively.
Both CBPs offered dynamic, practical, and collaborative learning experiences, equipping educators with effective tools to make mathematics instruction more inclusive, reflective, and learner-centred. The Principal appreciated the efforts of all master trainers.
