Under the guidance of the Principal of the school, Ms Sonia Malik, India’s 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great pride at DAVCPS Paschim Enclave on January 24, 2026 in the school premises.
The school was resplendent in the shades of tricolour and tunes of patriotic songs echoed all around the campus on the occasion of Republic Day Celebrations. As the chief guest, the prominent presence of the Dr Vandana Gupta, a renowned Professor of Microbiology, DU made the occasion even more special.
Presence of proud parents and PTA members added sheen to the celebration. Highlight of the day was a special presentation- ' *Aarambh: The Beginning that Inspires'* by the class V students of the school. In line with the NEP's emphasis on practical learning, hands-on exploration, and interdisciplinary approaches, the programme was carefully designed to bring alive the richness and colours of India' s rich cultural heritage and values.
A thought provoking English skit, mesmerizing dances: 'Albela Sajan'and 'Heal the world', jingoistic performance of the school choir group in the form of motivational songs and a scintillating Unity Walk revived the patriotic vibes , showcasing unity in diversity. An inspirational speech by President of Students' Parliament Master Yug Rana & Prime Minister of the Students' Parliament,Ms Raghvi Vasisht, conveyed a powerful message of joining hands for India's progress and development.
Ms Sonia Malik, principal of the school, in her address, inspired the students to become better and responsible individuals so that the vision of Viksit Bharat can become a reality.
The chief guest of the day Dr Vandana Gupta appreciated the efforts of all the students and teachers. Ms Kavita Sachdeva appreciated the unconditional support of the parents group in all the endeavours of the school. With tunes of Jan Gan Man, Jingoistic fervor ruled the day.
Take aways/ Learning outcomes:
Students developed an understanding of the importance of Republic Day, the values of the Indian Constitution, and the spirit of unity in diversity. The programme helped the learners build confidence, team spirit, and communication skills by participating in cultural activities.
