The school celebrated Spardha 2026, its Annual Sports Day for the students of classes I and II with great zeal, enthusiasm and a true spirit of sportsmanship on February 07, 2026. The event witnessed the active participation of students, teachers and parents, making it a grand success.
The event was graced by eminent chief guests of the day Mr. Yoginder Yadav,International Tug of War player, Head coach Delhi Tug of war team, Mr. Sumeet Shokeen Advocate by profession. Practising Law at High Court of Delhi and Trial Courts for more than a decade and an International Tug of War Player appointed as Assistant Secretary in Tug of War Federation of India and Mr. Rakesh Tanwar Delhi Legal Aid Counsel at Tis Hazari Court, West Delhi. Also a renowned Volleyball and Tug of War player.
The programme began with a warm Welcome Address by the Principal Madam Sonia Malik who highlighted the importance of physical fitness, discipline and teamwork in a student’s life. She encouraged students to play with sincerity and accept both victory and defeat gracefully.
This was followed by an impressive March Past by the five houses, showcasing perfect coordination, confidence and discipline. The Chief Guests took the salute and appreciated the students’ smart turnout and dedication. A special highlight of the day was the Torch Relay, symbolizing energy, unity and the spirit of sports. The relay culminated with the lighting of the ceremonial flame, marking the official commencement of the sports meet.
Next, the students took part in the Oath Ceremony, pledging to participate honestly, follow the rules and uphold the spirit of fair play. The audience was then mesmerized by a series of well-coordinated and colourful displays. Students presented a graceful Yoga performance.This was followed by energetic and vibrant drills which brought joy and applause from everyone present. Various other sports demonstrations were also performed, highlighting agility, coordination and teamwork.
The non- competitive segment included fun races for students. Special races for parents added extra excitement and laughter, creating a joyful bond between the school and families.
The event concluded with the Blessings and Address by the Chief Guest, who applauded the efforts of the school in promoting sports and fitness. The Chief Guest motivated students to pursue sports as a way of life and praised the discipline and enthusiasm of all participants.
A Felicitation Ceremony was held to honour the winners and participants. Medals and certificates were awarded, and the event ended with a vote of thanks by Ms. Richa Gandhi, the supervisory head of the Junior Wing, leaving everyone inspired and energized.
The Annual Sports Day was truly a celebration of fitness, unity and joyful participation, and it left a lasting impression on all.
